How Audiense Action works

Audiense Action helps you answer important marketing questions by identifying audience segments that are interested in a brand, competitor, product, or topic. Once your audience has been identified, you can explore their behaviors, interests, preferences, and motivations to better understand who they are and how to engage with them.

Depending on your workflow, you can either explore your audiences through natural language conversations or generate structured audience reports.

The platform is designed to help you:

  • Understand audience behaviors, interests, and characteristics.
  • Compare multiple audiences to uncover similarities and differences.
  • Test marketing ideas and creative before launching campaigns.

The two Audiense Action experiences

Audiense Action includes two complementary experiences that are available with your subscription.

Action Chat

Action Chat is the default experience when you log in to Audiense Action. Rather than building reports, you can simply ask questions in natural language and explore your audiences through an interactive conversation.

With Action Chat, you can:

  • Discover audiences through AI-powered conversations.
  • Compare multiple brands or audiences in a single discussion.
  • Browse and explore audience segments.
  • Test creative by uploading images, videos, or written copy.
  • Generate campaign briefs, executive summaries, and competitive analyses.
  • Upload brand context documents to personalize responses.

Projects (Classic)

Projects (Classic) provides a structured, report-based workflow for audience discovery and analysis. This experience is ideal when you want to create detailed audience reports or use integrations such as Meta Ads Manager.

Projects (Classic) allows you to:

  • Create audience reports based on brands, interests, locations, or audience segments.
  • Review detailed audience insights and marketing recommendations.
  • Explore audience segments and personas.
  • Export reports for sharing.
  • Activate audiences through supported integrations.

Switching between experiences

You can switch between Action Chat and Projects (Classic) at any time.

To switch experiences:

  • Click your profile icon in the upper-right corner of Audiense Action.
  • Select Projects (Classic) to open the report-based experience.
  • Select Chat to return to the conversational experience.

Your conversations and projects remain available in their respective experiences, allowing you to move between them whenever your workflow requires.


Which experience should I use?

Both experiences use the same underlying audience intelligence but are designed for different workflows.
