AI Assistant (MCP) with Demand Intelligence
Overview
Demand Intelligence exposes its full functionality through an MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector. Once you've connected your AI assistant, Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP-compatible client, you can create and analyse Demand reports without leaving the conversation.
The MCP connector is 100% compatible with the product: anything you can do in the Demand interface, you can also do through your AI assistant.
What You Can Do with the MCP
The Demand MCP connector covers the full Demand experience. Through it, you can:
- Create reports of all four types: Creator Discovery, Demand Reports, Influencer Reports and Overlap Reports — directly from your AI assistant by describing what you need.
- Read and analyse existing reports: Ask the assistant to summarise a report, compare entities, extract specific data points, or generate insights on top of an already-generated report.
- Query data directly: Ask questions about entities, scores, demographics, or any Demand signal without having to create a full report first.
Use the MCP whenever it's faster to describe what you want than to navigate the interface, and whenever you'd benefit from your AI assistant combining Demand data with other context in your workflow.
Supported Clients
The Demand MCP connector works with the major MCP-compatible AI assistants:
- Claude (Claude Desktop and other Claude business clients).
- ChatGPT and other GPT business clients with MCP support.
Business accounts required. To connect Demand to Claude or ChatGPT through MCP, you'll need a business account on your AI assistant of choice. Personal/free accounts may not have the connector capabilities enabled.
Setting up the MCP Connector
Connecting Demand Intelligence to your AI assistant is done on your side. You authenticate from your client (Claude or ChatGPT) using your own business account, and then add the Demand MCP connector to it.
The exact setup steps live in a dedicated guide. To open it, click the sparkle icon in the top right of the Demand interface and select "How to use the MCP Connector".
Does Using the MCP Consume Entities?
Yes, using the MCP connector consumes entities exactly the same way as using the Demand interface. The cost of each action follows the same rules:
- Creator Discovery searches: Free.
- Demand Reports: 1 entity per entity in the basket.
- Influencer Reports: 1 entity per report.
- Overlap Reports: 1 entity per account analysed (between 2 and 5).
Reading, analysing, or querying reports you've already created costs nothing, just like in the app.
Getting Help with the MCP Connector: If you run into issues setting up or using the MCP, click the sparkle icon in the top right of Demand and select "Support for the MCP Connector". You'll get in touch with the team that maintains the connector.
