What is Demand Intelligence?

Overview

Follow this article to learn how Audiense Demand Intelligence complements your audience analysis strategy by helping you measure who the world is paying attention to, where that attention is happening, and who is paying it, across brands, talent, media, organizations, entertainment franchises, and other entities.

As a complement to Audiense Insights and SoPrism, Demand Intelligence provides a broader view of audience interest and market demand by aggregating billions of data points across multiple social media platforms and search behavior. This allows organizations to move beyond isolated metrics, such as follower counts or engagement rates, and instead evaluate influence and popularity at scale.

Demand Intelligence is delivered through four building blocks inside the app, Creator Discovery, Demand Reports, Influencer Reports, and Overlap Reports, that together cover the full funnel from finding creators, to measuring categories, to deep-diving on accounts, to comparing audiences.

What is Demand Intelligence?

How Demand Intelligence complements audience analysis

Traditional audience analysis tools often focus on individual platform performance metrics, such as engagement, impressions, or follower growth. Demand Intelligence expands on this by helping you understand how popular an entity is across multiple channels, countries, and timeframes simultaneously.

For example, an influencer may have strong engagement on Instagram, but Demand Intelligence allows you to validate whether that popularity extends across additional platforms and markets before making partnership decisions.

By consolidating large-scale datasets into standardized demand metrics, the platform enables more consistent comparisons between brands, media properties, public figures, entertainment franchises, organizations, and other entities.

Multichannel coverage

Multichannel coverage is one of Demand Intelligence's defining traits. We ingest signals from multiple channels and turn them into comparable scores, demographics, and audience intersections you can act on:

  • Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and X: Social platforms.
  • URLs: Web presence and content distribution signals.
  • Search demand: Across both Google and YouTube.

Different building blocks of Demand Intelligence work across different combinations of these channels (see the table further down), but the multichannel logic runs through everything Demand does.

Country coverage

Creator Discovery, Influencer Reports, and Overlap Reports all have near-total country coverage. Demand Reports analyse 20 of the world's largest digital markets, spanning Europe, the Americas, Asia and Oceania. See The Demand Score for the full country list.

Where Demand Intelligence sits inside Audiense Discovery

Demand Intelligence lives inside Audiense Discovery, our broader suite for understanding and acting on audiences. Discovery is organized in four pillars:

Pillar

What it does

Audience Intelligence

(Insights)

Helps you understand who your audience is in depth — segments, behaviors, and affinities. Answers: who is my audience?

Digital Intelligence

(SoPrism for Meta, LinkedIn)

Profiles an audience through specific platform lenses. Tells you how an audience over- or under-indexes on Meta or LinkedIn versus a baseline. Answers: how does my audience show up on these platforms?

X Marketing

(Tweetbinder, Connect)

The activation pillar, focused on running and measuring marketing actions, mostly on X.

Demand Intelligence

(Demand)

Measures what and who has the audience's attention, at scale, across markets and channels. Answers: what's pulling on my audience out in culture?

Three of those four pillars sit on the intelligence side, Audience Intelligence, Digital Intelligence, and Demand Intelligence. X Marketing is the one activation pillar.

So if Insights describes the audience, and Digital Intelligence describes how that audience shows up on Meta or LinkedIn, Demand Intelligence describes what's pulling on that audience out in culture.
