Understanding Creator Discovery Results

Learn how to interpret Creator Discovery results, analyze creators, and identify the best accounts for your campaigns.

Overview

Follow this article to learn how to interpret Creator Discovery results and evaluate creators using performance and audience metrics.

After applying your search filters, Creator Discovery generates a ranked list of creators that match your selected criteria. Each result represents a creator account and includes key performance metrics that can help guide creator evaluation and selection.

Understanding Search Results:

Each creator row includes:

  • Creator Name
  • Handle
  • Followers
  • Average Likes
  • Engagement Rate
  • Analyze

Understanding Key Metrics:

  • Followers: Displays the creator's total audience size.

  • Average Likes: Shows the average number of likes received per post over the previous two months. Calculations include up to 500 posts. For less active creators, older posts may be included to provide a representative sample.

  • Engagement Rate: Measures audience engagement as a percentage. Engagement Rate is calculated as average likes ÷ followers. This metric helps identify creators with active and engaged audiences rather than simply large audiences.

Analyzing a Creator

Selecting "Analyze" launches an Influencer Report for the creator. Influencer Reports provide deeper insights into creator performance, audience composition, demographics, intrests, and content characteristics.

Many users leverage Influencer Reports to validate creator fit before moving forward with outreach or partnerships.

Sorting Results

Results can be sorted by:

  • Followers
  • Average Likes
  • Engagement Rate

Different sorting options can help surface creators that best align with campaign goals. For example, sorting by Engagement Rate may help identify creators with particularly active audiences.

Understanding the 100-Creator Limit

Creator Discovery currently displays up to 100 creators per search. Additional creators can be loaded using "Show More", which loads results in increments of 20 creators until the current limit is reached.

The total number of creators matching the search remains visible and can provide additional context regarding how broad or niche a creator category may be.

What to Do When No Results Are Returned

If your search returns no results, the applied filters may be too restrictive. Common causes include:

  • High Engagement Rate thresholds
  • High Average Likes requirements
  • Highly specific location filters
  • Multiple stacked audience filters

Try removing or relaxing filters one at a time until results appear.
