Overview
Follow this guide to learn how to generate an Export for Ads from an Audiense Insights report.
The Export for Ads feature creates an Excel file containing audience targeting recommendations that can be used across supported advertising platforms. You can generate an export for either your full audience or an individual audience cluster.
Before exporting, verify that you've selected both the correct audience and the appropriate baseline, as these selections determine the data included in the export.
Before You Begin
Before generating an Export for Ads, confirm that you've selected the correct audience or audience cluster. You should also verify that the appropriate baseline is selected.
For example:
- When exporting the full audience, you may choose a Global or Country baseline.
- When exporting an individual cluster, the Full Audience is commonly used as the baseline.
Your baseline selection affects the targeting recommendations included in the export.
Export Insights for Ads from the Actions Menu
Open your Insights report and navigate to the audience or audience cluster you would like to export.
After confirming your audience and baseline selections:
- Open the Actions menu.
- Select Export for Ads.
A summary screen displays the audience that will be exported. Review the information carefully. If everything is correct, confirm the export.
If changes are needed, return to the report and update your audience or baseline selection before continuing.
Once confirmed, Audiense begins generating the export. The export is typically available within a few minutes.
Export Insights for Ads from the Media Affinity Tab
You can also generate an Export for Ads directly from the Media Affinity tab.
To do this:
- Open the Media Affinity tab.
- Select Social Media & Display Ads from the left navigation.
- Click Export for Ads.
The export is generated in the same way as when using the Actions menu.
Access Your Completed Export
When the export has finished generating, Audiense sends the Excel file to your email inbox. You can also access the completed export directly from the Notifications icon located in the upper-right corner of the Audiense dashboard. Depending on the size of your audience, generation typically takes only a few minutes.
