Learn how to identify the best times to engage your audience and compare accounts to better understand your audience and competitors.
Overview
Follow this article to learn how Audiense Connect helps you better understand your target audience.
Once you've created an audience, Audiense Connect provides additional analytics that help you understand how and when to engage with that audience. These insights can help improve your marketing strategy by identifying the best times to publish content and by providing valuable information about your audience and competitors.
In this article, you'll learn how to use the Best Time to Tweet report and Account Comparison to gain a deeper understanding of your audience.
Identify the Best Time to Reach Your Audience
The Best Time to Tweet report analyzes when your audience is most active on X, helping you identify the optimal times to publish content for maximum visibility and engagement.
To generate a report, select Analytics from the top navigation menu, choose Best Time to Tweet, and then select Get My Report Now.

Once the report has been generated, you'll see a heat map showing when members of your community are online throughout the day. Darker areas represent periods when more users are active, while the darkest areas indicate the optimal times to publish content.
In addition to the heat map, the report highlights your recommended posting times over the next 24 hours and the coming week, making it easier to plan your publishing schedule.

If you're working with a specific audience rather than your entire community, Audiense also allows you to generate Best Time to Tweet reports for individual audiences.
For users who schedule content in advance, Audiense supports integration with Hootsuite, allowing you to schedule posts during your recommended publishing windows.
Compare Accounts
The Account Comparison feature allows you to compare multiple X accounts to better understand your audience, competitors, and shared communities.
Before creating a comparison, make sure the accounts you want to analyze have already been added to Audiense Connect as owned accounts or third-party account sources.
To create a comparison, select Analytics from the navigation menu, choose Account Comparison, and then select New Comparison.

Next, select the two or three accounts you'd like to compare.
Once the comparison has been generated, Audiense provides an account summary that includes key metrics for each account, including follower count, following count, account age, total posts, follower-to-following ratio, and average posts per day.

Reviewing these metrics side by side makes it easier to understand how your account compares with competitors or other organizations. This information can help identify opportunities to refine your engagement strategy and better understand the communities surrounding each account.
Explore Additional Comparison Insights
Beyond the account summary, Account Comparison also includes additional visualizations that provide a deeper analysis of the selected accounts.
These charts expand upon the summary metrics and help you further explore similarities and differences between the compared communities.
